The Disney Travel Agents at The Vacationeer Launch a COVID-19 LEGO Mickey eBay Auction to Help First Responders
Are you looking for a way to show your support for first responders during this pandemic? If so, look no further than The Vacationeer’s LEGO MICKEY charity, an eBay auction with 100% of the proceeds going directly to an awesome charity.
The winner of the auction will receive a gigantic and spot-on Mickey Mouse made entirely out of LEGO bricks.
The over 3-foot tall sculpture can ship to your home or be personally-hand delivered to your home (New England area).
You’ll be able to display this in your home and “wow” your Disney friends.
But, best of all, your purchase will help fund an amazing charity dedicated to providing first responders the resources they need during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Who is Sponsoring this Charity Auction?
As many of you know, The Vacationeer is our Disney Travel Agency of choice and a sponsor of MagicGuides.com. The agency is comprised of dozens of knowledgable and helpful Disney travel planners. Furthermore, these Vacationeers are also terrific human beings.
It came as no surprise to learn that Jonathan (owner) wanted to do something to help struggling families during this coronavirus outbreak.
To this end, he came up with a fun and creative way to raise more for the brave heroes on the front lines.
Jonathan – and his partner, Lito – set forth to create a LEGO sculpture in the form of Mickey Mouse.
After many hours of work, the end result is an impressive LEGO structure that accurately resembles a smiling Mickey Mouse. Great job!

The Idea for LEGO Mickey
With coronavirus shutdowns, Jonathan suddenly had much more free time on his hands. He was stuck at home and wanted to honor the brave first responders and essential workers who, unlike himself, were out on the front lines every day to keep our society up and running.
As the owner of The Vacationeer and a mega Disney fanatic, Jonathan came up with the idea of making a life-sized Mickey Mouse figure.
Since it’s made entirely of LEGO bricks, Mickey is named “Brickey.”
Brickey – The LEGO Mickey Mouse
The bricks are from a LEGO site called Bricklink. Jonathan used a program called Brickr to 3D model the design, and an extruded aluminum form to give support to the structure.
- Construction took approximately 25 hours.
- 9,000 LEGO bricks were used in the construction. There are red, yellow, white, and black bricks ranging from 1″ x 1″ up to 2″ x 8″ in size.
- Brickey is 39″ tall and has 103 layers!
Imagine Brickey in your bedroom, living room, classroom, or office space. What a fantastic decoration and conversation piece for a Disney fanatic!
