Here is the standard itinerary for the 2024 Adventures by Disney trip. Details are subject to change.

Day 1 – Anchorage

  • Arrive in Anchorage

After arriving at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, you’ll meet an Adventures by Disney representative who will assist you with your luggage and guide you to the transfer vehicle. You’ll then check into the luxurious Anchorage Marriott Downtown, where you’ll have the opportunity to unwind in your spacious room.

The rest of the day is free for you to explore Anchorage on your own.

Later, you’ll enjoy a welcome reception and dinner at 49th State Brewing Company, where you can try some of the state’s freshest seafood and award-winning beers. It’s sure to be a night to remember!

Day 2 – Anchorage

On Day 2 of the Adventures by Disney Alaska trip, guests will enjoy a hearty breakfast at their hotel before heading to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Here, you will learn about the rich heritage of Native Alaskan cultures from knowledgeable guides. You will also have the opportunity to view ancient artifacts and artwork and hear wondrous stories about Alaska’s indigenous population.

Next, Junior Adventurers participate in a fun and interactive scavenger hunt for Native items while adults explore the village sites. Adults and children alike will leave this experience with a greater understanding and appreciation for Alaska’s Native cultures.

Then it’s time to get some exercise, courtesy of a bike ride and kayaking at Eklutna Lake. Here you’ll get some fresh air and Vitamin D, and also marvel at the scenery and look for local wildlife like bald eagles, ravens, and moose!

As soon as you are satisfied, you’ll board the coach bus and head to the charming village of Talkeetna. Your Adventure Guides will handle all the check-in details at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge so you can relax.

Dinner will be served with fellow Adventurers as the sun sets. Meanwhile, Junior Adventurers will enjoy a private dinner at the lodge.

After dinner, kids will participate in an active night of fun and entertainment with Adventure Guides. They can play soccer, spin an Eskimo yo-yo, or join in on other fun activities to keep boredom at bay.

Day 3 – Talkeetna and Denali National Park and Preserve

On Day 3 of the Adventures by Disney Alaskan trip, guests will enjoy breakfast at the hotel before taking a stroll through Talkeetna. Talkeetna is a small town at the edge of Denali National Park and Preserve, known for its outdoor activities and natural beauty.

After exploring Talkeetna, guests will board an Alaska Railroad Dome Train for a scenic ride to Denali National Park. Dome Train cars provide 360-degree views of the Alaskan wilderness, offering passengers a chance to appreciate its beauty. The train will serve lunch on board, making it a truly memorable experience.

As you travel through Denali National Park on the train, Junior Adventurers will complete the Junior Ranger Activity Book and be sworn in as Junior Rangers once your tour group reaches the Denali Visitor Center.

Next, enjoy a private showing of the film “Heartbeats of Denali” at the Denali National Park Visitor Center, followed by an opportunity to explore the outdoor exhibits.

Upon arrival at the Grande Denali Lodge, your Adventure Guides will assist you with check-in. After you’ve had a chance to explore your surroundings, head to the Alpenglow Restaurant for dinner. With its stunning views of Denali Canyon, the Alpenglow Restaurant is the perfect place to unwind after a long day of adventure.

Day 4 – Denali National Park and Preserve

Day 4 begins with a hearty breakfast at the lodge, after which you’ll have the choice of two exciting activities.

In Option A, you’ll drift past Denali National Park and see the wildlife up close as you raft down the Nenana River. There are mild Class I and II rapids in this 2-hour adventure.

During the more leisurely option B, a naturalist will drive you around the park in a deluxe school bus while explaining the history and culture of Denali. In addition to providing an informative look at the history and culture of this pristine wilderness, there will be plenty of chances to spot moose, foxes, and caribou.

On Day 5 of the Adventures by Disney Alaskan itinerary, you’ll enjoy breakfast at the hotel before boarding a coach for a trip to Big Lake, home to Happy Trails Kennels, owned and operated by fourth-time Iditarod winner Martin Buser.

Your visit includes:

Day 6 – Girdwood
