While the majority of rides and attractions at Walt Disney World are open to guests of any height, there are dozens of theme park and water park rides that do have minimum height requirements. There are even a few with a maximum height requirement. So if you are planning a Disney World vacation with children, it’s important to know which rides have Disney World height requirements. Then you’ll know all the rides available to the little ones and which are meant for taller adolescents and adults.
You can expect height requirements to be strictly enforced; they are directly related to each attraction’s built-in safety features (especially important for high-speed rides) rather than just how scary a ride might be.
Height Requirements for each of the Disney World Theme Parks
Below we break down the height requirements of rides at Disney World so you’ll be prepared once you arrive at any of the theme parks. We list all the attractions at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Blizzard Beach, and Typhoon Lagoon.
There are currently dozens of Disney World attractions with no height requirements. So if you’re going to Disney with younger kids, these will be the rides that your smaller children will be allowed to go on based on their height. Hopefully, this information will help you formulate your in-park itinerary.
In addition to the list below, you can also use our Disney Ride Height Calculator tool, which lets you enter a child’s height and get a list of eligible rides.
