Is Beaches Negril Resort Worth It?
Of the three Beaches resort locations, we rank Negril Resort & Spa in Jamaica as the best Beaches resort because it’s the perfect place for a family vacation. The resort sits on a beautiful stretch of Seven Mile Beach, and plenty of activities keep kids entertained. There’s something for everyone, from swimming and snorkeling to kayaking and paddle boarding.
It is also more affordable to fly to Jamaica than Turks & Caicos, which significantly affects the cost of the trip to the Beaches. The number of flights to Jamaica is also much higher. In this regard, Beaches Negril and Beaches Ocho Rios have an advantage over Beaches Turks & Caicos.
One of the highlights of a stay at Beaches is the chance to enjoy the water park at each resort, and the one at Beaches Negril is top-notch. There’s something for everyone to enjoy at the 18,000 square-foot Pirates Island Water Park, including two giant slides, toddlers slides, a 650-foot lazy river, a bucket drop, and a splash deck. And because the waterpark is located on-site, you won’t have to waste time traveling to and from your hotel room. Kids (and adults) love this area of the resort!
And for those who want to explore beyond the beach, there’s a wide range of excursions available, from zip-lining and horseback riding to deep sea fish and swimming with dolphins. Best of all, the resort offers a top-notch Kids Camp program, which provides a safe and supervised environment for children, tweens, and teens to learn, play, and socialize.
We rank Beaches Negril the best Beaches resort because of its beautiful location, intimate size, extensive activities, and recently renovated accommodations. Plus, flights from the U.S. to Jamaica are cheaper. What more could you want from a family vacation destination?

With its idyllic location, an abundance of activities, and commitment to family fun, it’s no wonder Beaches Negril is one of the most popular resort destinations for families. Is Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Worth It?
Beaches Turks and Caicos is a popular resort destination for families because of its idyllic location, an abundance of activities and dining options, and commitment to family fun. The resort ranks second to Beaches Negril, but the margin is thin.
One of the highlights of a stay at Beaches is the chance to enjoy the water park at each resort, and the one at Beaches Turks and Caicos is the largest Beaches waterpark of the three. There’s something for everyone to enjoy at the 45,000 square-foot Pirates Island water park, including three giant slides, toddlers slides, a lazy river, Surf Simulator, and a splash deck. Waterparks are located on-site, so you won’t have to worry about driving to and from the hotel.
As we mentioned, Beaches Turks & Caicos sits on Grace Bay Beach, named the World’s Best Beach by TripAdvisor. If you plan to spend a lot of time at the beach, Beaches Turks & Caicos will not disappoint!
And for those who want to explore beyond the beach, water park, and pools, Beaches offers many excursions, from Iguana Island sail and Seaside Caicos Scavenger Hunt to ATV adventures and sightseeing tours. The resort also has a top-notch Kids Camp program, where children, tweens, and teens can learn, play, and socialize in a safe and supervised environment.
Beaches Negril vs. Turks & Caicos: Which is Better?
We rank Beaches Negril as the best Beaches resort because it offers new renovations, an intimate and relaxing atmosphere, and cheaper and more frequent flights to Jamaica. However, if you appreciate a resort that offers more choices, including more pools, a more extensive water park, more restaurants, etc., then Beaches Turks & Caicos might be the resort for you.
The decision comes down to what you want from your resort stay. The beaches and amenities at both destinations are spectacular, and both locations are hard to beat for luxury family vacations.

Is Beaches Ocho Rios Resort Worth It?
While Ocho Rios is perhaps the best overall value of all three Beaches resorts, it falls short of the other two locations. It’s not as intimate, charming, or updated as Beaches Negril and doesn’t have the variety as Beaches Turks & Caicos. Ocho Rios’ beach is beautiful but does not receive the same accolades as other beaches.
Despite that, the activities, amenities, and natural beauty are similar to the others, and the cost per day is lower here, so your dollar goes further. The flights to Jamaica are also frequent and inexpensive compared to Turks and Caicos. Ocho Rios is an excellent choice for those on a tight budget.
The water park at Ochi Rios is fun and the second biggest at 27,000 sq feet. There’s still enough variety in restaurants, bars, pools, etc., to keep everyone looking at their tropical getaway. Plus, there are a variety of excursions to choose from, an excellent Kids Camp program, and an award-winning 18-hole golf course for those who enjoy golfing.
Although Beaches Ocho Rios ranks last on our list, you cannot go wrong with any Beaches resort. Beaches Ocho Rios is a fantastic family vacation destination worth your time and money.
Beaches Resorts is Opening Two New Locations
A new Beaches resort will soon open in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. It will be situated on 50 acres of lush land, hugged by the Caribbean Sea and surrounded by mountains and rainforests. Opening in late 2022 or early 2023, it will be Beaches’ 4th location.
