As Disney looks for ways to improve efficiencies and implement new contactless solutions, we have just received word of a new app feature.
This new technology, called “MagicMobile,” allows guests to use their cell phones to enter the theme parks. Let’s take a closer look at how it works.
MagicMobile Launches at Disney World Theme Parks
Spring Break is in full swing and Walt Disney World is humming. That said, we’re not quite out of the woods with Covid yet.
Despite all the heartache, there are some good things born out of the pandemic. One such thing is the new Disney MagicMobile system.
As of March 30th, guests are now able to use the Disney MagicMobile app feature on their Apple iPhone or Apple watch.
The Disney MagicMobile service is an extension of the MagicBand system, which allows guests to enter a Disney theme park by tapping the MagicBand to a sensor at the gates.
A MagicMobile pass is created via the My Disney Experience App. The (My Disney Experience) app already allows Disney Resort hotel guests the ability to open their hotel rooms, but, with MagicMobile, guests are now able to add their theme park tickets to the device’s digital wallet and “automagically” enter the parks.
Additionally, guests have the ability to store multiple passes on a single device (a great idea for families).
The Disney MagicMobile isn’t groundbreaking but it will simplify the park entry process. Any technological advance that simplifies our lives is a welcome change!
