Walt Disney World has cemented its reputation as one of the most visited destinations in the United States, and for good reason. Their attractions appeal to all ages, and their safe, well-maintained theme parks can transport you to a different dimension.

If you’re planning a family getaway, you should consider booking a Disney Cruise or escaping to Disney World. This article will run through the ticket prices for the various parks and activities Disney World has to offer.

Walt Disney World Ticket Prices 2022

Guests ages ten and up can currently get a standard Disney World ticket for as low as $109; Disney World tickets for guests age three to nine are slightly cheaper, starting at $104. However, these don’t include the 6.5% sales tax — and adding options like Park Hopper, Memory Maker, or Water Park and Sports can increase ticket prices. Guests under three years old aren’t required to get a ticket.

If you are planning multiple days in the parks, make sure to purchase your admission as a multi-day ticket rather than buying a one-day ticket each time you go to the park.  You’ll save at least $20 per ticket if you purchase a three-day (or longer) ticket in this way.  Purchasing a ten-day ticket gives you as much as a 50% discount versus ten one-day tickets!

It’s worth noting that Disney World ticket prices fluctuate daily. During the summer or on holidays, even standard tickets can cost from $129 to $159. Aside from the tickets, guests are also required to make a reservation through the Disney Park Pass as a way to reduce crowds and better estimate attendance and staffing.

If you’re ready to spend a bit more for a bigger experience, you can also consider an all-inclusive Disney vacation.

Disney World Ticket Upgrades and Add-Ons

When you purchase your ticket, Disney offers many additional options that can enrich your Disney experience.

Park Hopper Option

The most popular add-on for Disney World Tickets is Park Hopper. This allows you to visit more than one theme park on the same day without needing a Park Pass reservation for multiple parks–you simply need to visit your initial park first and wait until 2:00 PM before you can begin park hopping. For a one-day ticket, the park hopper ticket option costs an additional $65 or so.

Water Park and Sports Option

You can include the Water Park and Sports option in your ticket for an additional $70 or so (for a one-day ticket). Aside from entry to one of Disney World’s four theme parks, you can also access one of the Disney properties or activities below:

  • Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
  • Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
  • Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course—FootGolf
  • Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
  • Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course
  • Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex

Park Hopper Plus Option

For about an additional $85 per one-day ticket, you can get the Park Hopper Plus option, which essentially merges the Park Hopper and Water Park and Sports option into a single add-on. This allows diverse, full days, such as spending the morning in Animal Kingdom, playing a round of golf late in the afternoon, and capping it all off with a fireworks showcase at EPCOT.

Disney World After Hours Events

You can also enjoy special parties at Disney World – these fun-filled events provide guests with a spectacular experience within the parks long after normal operating hours. Guests can access certain attractions with shorter queues, and enjoy exclusive parades, stage shows, and fireworks displays. The two most popular events of this type are the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Ticket prices vary greatly depending on the type of event and the date you wish to attend, but you can often save a bit if you’re an Annual Pass holder or a Disney Vacation Club member.
