PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is permanently closed, with its final voyage taking place September 28-30, 2023.

From its opening in 2022 to its all-too-soon closure in late 2023, Galactic Starcruiser gave its passengers the once-in-a-lifetime experience of living out their Star Wars dreams in an immersive two-day adventure.

Though the Halcyon is no longer accepting passengers, we’re leaving this article published as a tribute to all of the amazing Imagineers, Cast Members, travel professionals, and Guests who made time spent onboard Galactic Starcruiser a true adventure.

There are a few discount programs currently available at Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel, but each of them have some sort of restriction attached, such as being part of an “affinity group.” It’s unclear how the recently-announced closure (effective at the end of September) will affect those discount programs.

  • Travelers on select full-price Starcruiser voyages through September 2023 can save up to $700 on a stay at another Disney Resort hotel immediately before or after their voyage.
  • Disney Vacation Club Members can save 30% on a special Member-exclusive Starcruiser voyage.
  • Cast Members (Disney employees) may be able to save up to 50% on select voyages.

What’s included in the cost of Disney’s Star Wars Hotel?

Every Galactic Starcruiser vacation package includes 2-nights in a well-appointed cabin/ suite, all your meals, and all the exclusive experiences, activities, and missions on your voyage.

The cost also includes valet parking and entry to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (and the rest of Hollywood Studios) for your excursion to Batuu.

Note: Alcohol and specialty drinks are not included but are available for purchase.

When will discounts become available for Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel?

Disney’s Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel is relatively new and still receiving a lot of media attention.  But, Disney has cut down a bit on the number of departures per week in an apparent attempt to operate at a higher occupancy level. There are only 100 rooms, but there is often plenty of availability according to Disney’s website.

Discounts were very rare immediately after the grand opening, but Disney is clearly becoming more open to the idea based on some affinity group offers which have been released lately.  Many people find the experience cost-restrictive so a discounted package would certainly help Disney fill up those vacant rooms.
