After you select the tickets you want to change, the next screen will bring up options, such as changing the date, number of days, and the ticket type. For example, you can use this screen to pick a seven-day standard ticket instead of a five-day one, or upgrade from a standard ticket to a Park Hopper ticket. 

When you are done selecting the option you want to upgrade to, click on “Check Out.” If there is a price difference, you will be prompted to make the payment, so keep your credit card handy. That’s it–you’ve successfully upgraded your current ticket in a matter of minutes. 

You can also make changes to your Disney World tickets by calling their help line and speaking with guest services. Of course, if you booked your Disney trip through a travel agent, they can help you through the upgrade process.

Upgrading a Disney Ticket During Your Vacation 

If you feel like you can’t get enough of Disney World and want to extend your trip, you can tack on extra days to your Disney World tickets while on vacation. This will allow you to take advantage of cheaper rates, even when you’re already in Orlando.  All you need to do is head to the ticket window or guest services at one of the Disney parks; you can also go to the concierge or guest relations at your Disney World Resort hotel. Tell them what you’d like to do, and they’ll be happy to help you out. 

However, there are a few caveats here–first, you must add days or upgrade within fourteen days of first use. Second, you must have some entitlements remaining on your ticket. For example, if you have a four-day ticket, you should have at least one admission remaining to upgrade it.
