The shoulder season is the second-best time to visit because it provides a mix of good weather and lower costs. We particularly like the month of November. By then, the hurricane risk has usually passed, but the high “winter” prices haven’t fully kicked in yet.

For 2026 travelers, November is a fantastic choice because Sandals South Coast is scheduled to reopen on November 18, 2026. If you can snag a booking for late November, you’ll be among the first to see its new designs while likely avoiding the maximum “Christmas rush” pricing. Additionally, November 1, 2026, marks the debut of 20 brand-new Rondoval Butler Villas at Sandals Saint Vincent (including those wild rooftop ‘Sky Villas’), so it’s an incredible month for those who want to be among the first to stay in these high-end suites. Just be sure to avoid the heavy crowds during Thanksgiving week!

Loser: Summer (June, July, August) and Holiday Weeks

The “worst” time to go on a Sandals vacation is the summer and holiday weeks. We believe the best time to go is when the weather is cold in your hometown; therefore, June, July, and August are less than ideal for a tropical escape. Additionally, August is historically the wettest month in the Caribbean.

The Silver Lining: While these are the “Loser” months for weather, they are the Winners for your wallet.
