1. Rix Sports Bar and Grill

Rix is known for its fine selection of draft beers,  hand-crafted cocktails, and classic bar food.  The upscale bar and grill is also known as one of the best spots to catch the game.

Located in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Rix Sports Bar and Grill features nightly sporting events for your viewing pleasure on 31 TVs, ensuring no matter where you sit, you can catch the game. Rix is definitely a great Disney World sports bar to check out!

Reservations are accepted and recommended during game nights.

2. City Works Eatery & Pour House

City Works, located in Disney Springs (which offers free admission), offers an extensive sports viewing experience with screens throughout the venue. It offers a gastropub atmosphere, pairing craft beer with elevated American cuisine. The strategic screen placement ensures optimal viewing from any seat.

City Works Eatery & Pour House is an excellent choice for those looking to enjoy both the game and gourmet food. It’s a family-friendly spot where guests can relax and cheer for their favorite teams after a long day at the parks.

3. SPLITSVILLE

Disney Spring is known as a fun destination and Splitsville is no exception. This chic entertainment complex is known for its bowling, but there’s also pool tables,  TV screens galore, and a restaurant serving all your favorite comfort foods (including sushi).

Splitsville is brimming with TVs at every corner, so it’s a great spot to watch the game of the week.  That said, The Patio Bar area is really the place to head if you’re looking for an authentic sports bar atmosphere. Just be sure to plan ahead and give them a call beforehand, since they sometimes host private events.

4. Crew’s Cup Lounge

Nestled at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, this hidden gem is a favorite among sports fans, especially now that the BoardWalk’s ESPN Club has closed. It boasts a warm, wood-paneled interior, multiple large TVs, and an upscale menu that elevates the typical sports bar experience. Its prime location, elegant atmosphere, and high-quality offerings earn it a top spot on our list of Disney’s best sports bars—ranking fourth.

Fans rave about the Prime Rib Sliders and Truffle Fries, making it the perfect place to enjoy a sophisticated environment while catching the game.

5. Resort Restaurant Lounges and Pool Bars

Many Disney World resort hotels feature restaurant lounges or pool bars with TVs, creating perfect spots for casual sports viewing.

Many restaurants, especially those at Disney Deluxe Resorts, feature an adjacent lounge with specialty cocktails, custom light bites, and sometimes menu items from the main restaurant. Many of these lounges also offer a few televisions showing live games. The atmosphere may be slightly more formal than a traditional sports bar, but it will still be a bit more relaxed than the restaurant itself.

Pool bars, on the other hand, are totally casual. They offer a relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy drinks poolside while catching the game. And unlike the indoor lounges, swimwear is perfectly acceptable here. During breaks, take a quick dip before returning to catch the next play. Check your specific resort for amenities and TV availability.

If you are looking for our top recommendation, our favorite pool bar is Banana Cabana at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Because of its central location at the Skyliner hub and its large, open-air bar featuring multiple screens and a tropical ‘island’ vibe, it feels more like a dedicated sports venue than a standard pool bar. It’s the perfect spot to grab a Caribbean Smuggler and catch a game in the breeze.

What Happened to the ESPN Club, Big River Grille & Brewing Works, and Shula’s?

We have previously recommended these venues as good sports bar options, but they’re no longer operating.

Disney’s Boardwalk was once home to the fantastic ESPN Club, which closed in 2022. This sports fan’s paradise had 100 TV screens with global satellite feeds. The ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill remains available over at Wide World of Sports, but its hours are variable and it’s less centrally located.

Big River Grille & Brewing Works, also at the boardwalk, was the only working brewpub on Disney property at the time. It shut down in January 2024.

Shula’s Steak House at the Swan and Dolphin closed in June 2025. Shula’s was heavy on sports memorabilia decor (thanks to its legendary NFL namesake), and its associated lounge was a great place to catch a game. Shula’s was replaced by Bourbon Steak, still a classy steak place but one which completely forgoes the sports theme.

Final Thoughts

Walt Disney World Resort isn’t exactly known as a destination for sports fans. But look a little closer, and you will discover resorts, rides, venues, and bars that have sports themes.

There are several excellent sports bars around the park that serve as fun gathering spots for friends, family, and strangers alike. Kick back and join in with other fans from around the world while your favorite teams battle it out on the big screen.

Disney World’s best sports bars include sports-oriented fine and casual dining spots, cozy pubs, and a lively and exciting entertainment complex. All of these establishments offer a wide selection of handcrafted cocktails, beers, appetizers, and entrees. Overall, the food is what you’d expect in an American-style gastropub – delicious comfort food.

If you prefer a quieter environment to watch the game, your Disney World resort hotel room could be ideal. You have control over the remote and can enjoy snacks without distractions. Alternatively, many resort pool bars offer a laid-back setting with TVs for sports viewing, allowing you to dip into the pool during commercial breaks.

Whatever venue you choose to watch the game, grab a chair and catch the game on the big screen at one of these magical spots. Enjoy your trip!
