If you are traveling with a large family or group to Disney World, you might consider booking a family suite. Generally, these suites have separate bedrooms and living areas and are more spacious than standard hotel rooms. If you have small children, this can be helpful, as they can sleep in their own space while you remain in the living room.
Selecting a suitable Disney World family suite will depend on your priorities: price, size, amenities, proximity to parks, or something else. Fortunately, many of Disney’s resort hotels offer suites, so you’ll have plenty of choices. Keep reading to see our ranking of the best family suites at Disney World to help you decide.

Best Family Suites at a Moderate Resort
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
- Category: Moderate
- Size of Suites: Various
- Number of Family Suites: 43
- Room Rates: $645 and up (prices vary by date)
- Accommodations: Up to 6 Adults (plus one child under 3 in a crib)

There are about 30 Junior Suites at the resort, comparable to two standard rooms connected by a single door. The Junior Suites accommodate up to six people, yet they cost more than two standard rooms.
Additionally, about ten One-Bedroom “VIP” Suites are available. These are the size of three standard rooms combined and have a lot of living room space.
Lastly, there are 3 Two-Bedroom “Executive Suites.” These are equivalent in space to 5 standard rooms combined. The price is six times that of a standard room, so it’s not a good option if you want to save money.
Are the suites at Disney’s Coronado Springs suitable for your family?
The Coronado Springs resort is enormous, beautiful, and modern, and it offers a wide variety of suites that can accommodate large groups, including family reunions and business meetings. If you wish to hold a meeting or celebration at the resort, it offers a variety of conference rooms for rent.
As one of the Disney Moderate Resorts, Coronado Springs straddles the line between affordability and luxury. These suites aren’t the best value for a family vacation since they can be more expensive than multiple standard rooms. However, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort – and its new Gran Destino Tower – provide beautiful and modern accommodations, so it may be worth considering if you don’t mind venturing outside the Value category.

No, you won’t be able to walk to Magic Kingdom, but who needs it when you have a monorail stop?
The resort also has some of the best restaurants and pools at Walt Disney World. The Polynesian Bungalows are another unique option, but we think those are better suited for honeymoons at Disney World rather than family vacations.
If you want extra space and are willing to pay a premium to stay in a tropical paradise, a family suite at the Polynesian Village Resort is ideal.

Or, opt for unique units such as Treehouse Villas, over-the-water bungalows, or waterfront cabins.
The Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is our top pick. The Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge are part of Disney Vacation Club, and they offer ample space, with 2-Bedroom Villas sleeping up to eight people. A full kitchen is in the room if you wish to prepare meals yourself. Guests can access Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort’s onsite amenities, including pools, restaurants, and a children’s activity center.

On our last visit to WDW, we stayed at Pop Century and loved it! The redesigned rooms were fresh and convenient, and the pool was excellent for our toddler. Now that our family is a bit bigger, we’re anxious to try out the family suites a Art of Animation! I love the ability to have some meals or at least snacks in our room, especially breakfast on park days when we want to get out the door quickly. Plus, having older kids, I think they’ll absolutely love the larger pool at AOA!
They will love it, Lindsey! The extra room makes a big difference. Thanks for your feedback.
